NYP signs 3rd CA with AUPE
The third Collective Agreement Signing Ceremony
between Mr Lin Cheng Ton, Principal & CEO of Nanyang Polytechnic and
Mr Teo Yock Ngee, General Secretary of AUPE on 28 November 2005 was witnessed
by eight senior management staff, Deputy General Secretary Noor Shyma,
Branch Chairman Andrew Poh, Secretary Philip Woo and fellow committee
members.
The Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) Non-Academic Staff Agreement was renewed
for another 3 years after incorporating the enhanced paternity leave,
the new adoption leave and the 2004 leave scheme.
The day saw the team continuing their interactions over sumptuous buffet
lunch while enjoying the companionship of each other.
The occasion also marked the continuous good and harmonious relationship
between the two partners since the inception of the Polytechnic. Bonding
and strengthening of the relationship was carried out over the years through
meetings, informal discussions and union-management team development programmes
annually.
