Nee Soon South CC Open Chess Challenge |

3 of our students, namely Kadam Rohit Ashok, Muhd Ruhul Islam and Wilbur Tan participated in the above competition held in Nee Soon South CC on 3 Sep 2006. This competition attracted 208 participants including players from the National junior squad. Participants ranged from as young as 5 years old to seasoned players in their 50s. Each player played 7 rounds and the fixture was based on the Swiss league system. At each round, each player was given 25 minutes. NYP swooped the top honours of the competition, winning the Challenge
Cup. Rohit came in Champion, Mohd Ruhul 1st Runner-up and Wilbur came
in 3rd Runner-up, respectively.
