Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme for all Full-Time Students
All full-time students of Nanyang Polytechnic are required to participate in a Group Personal Accident Insurance Scheme from NTUC INCOME Insurance Co-operative Limited.
Coverage
This scheme provides 24-hour world-wide insurance coverage for accidents sustained by full-time students of NYP. The benefits include compensation of up to S$15,000 per student upon death or proportion thereof for permanent injuries suffered in an accident.
The insurance policy is confined to the insured while he or she is a student of Nanyang Polytechnic. The policy covers the student while he or she is engaged in any activities, including:

activities organised, sponsored or supervised by the Polytechnic (e.g. attending classes/training, vacation jobs and site visits);
-
activities not organised, sponsored or supervised by the Polytechnic;

activities termed "dangerous" (e.g. mountain/rock climbing, racing, cycling, etc).
The insurance also covers medical and surgical charges, hospitalisation and ambulance charges up to a limit of S$1,500.00 for any one accident, 24 hours and world-wide.
Submitting Claims
Students can obtain the Insurance Claim Form from the Student Affairs Office. The claim form should be completed and returned within 30 days of the accident, together with the relevant receipts/paid bills to the Student Affairs Office.
