Hospitality & Resort Management

Course Aims

This course aims to:

  • provide students with a comprehensive broad-based business education through carefully selected core business modules; and an understanding of business process development and operation;
  • provide an adequate level of specialisation through careful selection and phasing of specialized modules in hospitality and resort management;
  • enable total student development through a value-added curriculum with a strong emphasis on customer-focused training;
  • train and develop students by providing a focused practice-based training & education supported by up to 6 months of industrial attachment in relevant resorts, hospitality or tourism-related organizations, both locally and overseas.
  • enable students to develop essential life-long skills such as creative and logical thinking, problem-solving and analytical abilities, skills in quantitative methods and decision sciences, an understanding of the strategic use of Info-Communication Technology (ICT) in the industry, foreign language skills and an appreciation of leisure lifestyles.
