Synopsis Of Programme 3 Modules
Engineering Mathematics B
This module is a continuation of Engineering Mathematics A taught in the first semester. It aims to further provide students with the essential knowledge and analytical skills needed in mathematics for solving engineering problems. Topics in the module include Linear Equations, Quadratic Equations, Differentiation, Integration, Partial Differentiation and Ordinary Differential Equations.
Manufacturing Planning & Control
This module aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge in the use of traditional and computerised methods (MRP II) of production and inventory control to manage manufacturing resources.
Plastics Technology
This module provides comprehensive information about the various plastics machinery and its processing techniques, which are used to fabricate all types and shapes of plastic products. It also covers trouble-shooting techniques on the various processing problems so that the students can better understand the quality problems that are associated with it.
Automation Control
The module equips students with application knowledge of pneumatics and Electro-pneumatic control. Topics include automatic control principles, programmable logical control and their applications.
Semestral Project 2
Student are expected to complete an assignment, with special emphasis placed on the aspects of marketing and product engineering. A good understanding of project engineering focusing at information gathering, machinability, usability, robustness of design and cost analysis.
