Areas of Specialisation
The Centre possesses extensive solution development experience in high-performance automated inspection system, and intelligent surveillance firmware. This emphasises on the application development of advanced imaging and analysis such as shape-based geometric modeling and content analysis algorithms.
The other area of specialisation - electronic product design of imaging/video firmware - is directed towards designing and adoption of the latest video-based IC chips for embedded-intelligence video products.

Industry Services
The Centre consists of a team of full-time project engineers with years of experience in machine vision technologies, application programming and imaging/video firmware design to roll out turnkey project solutions. ITC collaborates with SMEs, MNCs and direct end users in customizing generic machine vision products and systems to meet the increasingly stringent demands of industrial inspection and vision guidance; as well as to explore the new avenues for machine vision applications especially in life sciences and surveillance industries. The turnkey solution includes project management, system design and development, system installation, testing and commissioning.

Project Information
-
Vision-guided Epoxy Encapsulation Dispensing Machine - The machine delivers high speed and accuracy for today's most demanding semi-conductor production. The adhesive dispensing machine is ideal for high-volume, production-critical applications that need to sustain continuous 24 hours of operation without operators.
- On-the-fly medical bag surface quality inspection system - This project provides better quality control over the assembly process of medical bag production, whereby the surface quality of the bag is of critical importance for the actual usage.

The project implements two on-the-fly inspection systems to increase high throughput volume for the production while ensuring 100% online quality assurance.
- Multi-channel B/W video synchronizer controller - The project solution provides security surveillance and multi-camera machine inspection with a superior solution in high-speed multiple image viewing and analysis. Without this solution, the capability of conventional video system would be limited to handling a maximum of four camera inputs. As there is a rising demand for more than four camera inputs and high-speed image analysis of single input sequentially, this solution offers a cost-effective system over the conventional one.
- Vision-based automated IC inspection System - The system provides IC manufacturer with the ability to replace the manual mode of quality checks with a 100% online quality assurance on IC package after final assembly process.

The system provides stringent checks on quality defects such as IC mis-orientation, poor quality of IC markings, presence of surface voids etc. The system utilises in-house developed illumination control module with high-resolution imaging hardware.
