The Advanced Diploma in Nursing (Oncology) focuses on the care of patients with cancer, starting from health promotion and prevention of cancer, early diagnosis right through to the advanced and terminal phases of the illness. It provides students with specialised knowledge and skills for prevention and early detection of cancer, management of patients with cancer and their significant others, restoring them to optimal health, maintaining their quality of life and supporting those at end stage of disease.

Entry Requirements
To be eligible for entry into the course, applicants must:
- have a Diploma in Nursing from NYP or a qualification deemed to be equivalent;
- be eligible for registration with the Singapore Nursing Board;
- provide evidence of academic or professional
proficiency, or any additional requirements that may be prescribed, to indicate the capacity to pursue post diploma studies (if required by the Senate of NYP).
- Regional candidates must pass GCE 'O' Level English or equivalent
- Priority will be given to applicants with one year's post registration experience

Application Procedures
The fee payable after MOE subsidy (incl. 7% GST) is as follows:
Singaporean is $1750
Singapore PR is $1925
Application Period
Details of Advanced Diploma in Health Sciences courses are published in the local newspapers, as and when the courses are offered, especially between Jan and Jul each year.

Submission of Application Forms
Applicants are encouraged to submit their application online. Please ensure that the application & supporting documents (eg. certificates, transcripts, etc.) reach the Student Recruitment & Admissions Office, Nanyang Polytechnic, Block A Level 2 Campus Centre, 180 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 8, Singapore 569830 by the Closing Date. For those who prefer the usual mailing, please ensure that the application form reaches NYP by the Closing Date.
Organisations sponsoring their staff for the programme also required to submit the Company-Sponsorship Form. This can be obtained from the Course Calendar at http://www.nyp.edu.sg/pdc.
Notification of Outcome of Application
