 Course Aims
The course aims to develop and equip students with:
- a comprehensive understanding of the critical technologies and building blocks in IT and software tools
- the expertise to manage and integrate processes across business functions
(e.g. human resource, finance, operations and risk management) so as to help
- organisations improve their business competitiveness and agility
- the ability to harness enterprise technology and resource planning systems to develop effective enterprise IT solutions and services for businesses
- essential life skills in creative & critical thinking, team building, self-directed learning, effective communication and enterprising spirit
Duration: 3 academic years on a full-time basis.
Career Prospects
Over the years, Singapore continues to rank among the top in World Competitiveness and World Business Environment. Many multinational and large corporations have based their regional activities here. With IT moving from a competitive tool to a business strategy, Enterprise Technologists are highly sought after.
There is a high and growing demand for Enterprise Technologists with good understanding of business processes and the capability to implement effective IT solutions or IT-enabled business improvement projects at enterprise level, be it at multinational corporations or at growing local enterprises.
Further Studies
With the Diploma in Business Enterprise IT, graduates will have opportunities to pursue further studies with good advanced standing in relevant degree courses at reputable universities in Singapore, the UK, Australia, the US, Canada and New Zealand.
