Introduction

The Diploma of Engineering Informatics is a multi-disciplinary course that combines extensive next-generation network and IT technologies with relevant industry domain knowledge. The programme develops students to harness such expertise in implementing reliable infrastructure and designing high value-added IT systems and solutions that enhance business effectiveness and new lifestyle in the innovation-driven digital economy.
 
The course offers an exciting and rewarding IT learning experience that combines both IT and industry domain knowledge.  Students will be intrigued by technologies such as WiMax, 3G and broadband networks that allow them to access IM and online media, 24 by 7, even when they are on the move. They will learn how technologies are applied to real life scenarios such as how thousands of parcels going through freight service each day can be tagged, tracked and delivered to their destinations around the world, on time and efficiently. They will learn the latest emerging technologies in IT, network and engineering systems through the best of class training facilities. They will be highly sought-after IT professionals with multi-disciplinary expertise.

Students will acquire a strong foundation and core capability in IT, broadband networking, wireless computing and engineering domain knowledge. Students can pursue their interest from among the following areas:
