RosettaNet is a self-funded, non-profit organization, and a consortium of major Information Technology, Electronic Components, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Telecommunications and Logistics companies working together to create and implement industry-wide, open e-business process standards.
RosettaNet Architecture Centre of Excellence (RNACE) was setup in 16th September 2004 at NYP. The centre is supported by Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) and NYP, and sponsored by industrial partners including Cisco, GridNode, HP, IBM, Intel, Microsoft, NCS, Oracle and Singapore Computer Systems (SCS).
The objectives of the centre are:
- Improve on the current RosettaNet Technical Architecture and standards
- Integrations of RosettaNet standard and other complementing standards such as Electronic Product Code (EPC), EAN.UCC and various web services standards
- Help increase in standard adoptions through low cost implementation of standards for SMEs
- Architect a secured, distributed information registries for supply chain Information sharing with universal track and trace capabilities
The centre is equipped with staffs from NYP and supported industrial partners as software architects and designers. Final year project IT students have participated and contributed in developments of the various projects in the centre, keeping them abreast with e-business process standards.
