At the Pitch It! 2017 Challenge organised by NUS, our SBM marketing students comprising of Freddy Yeow, Valda Ng, and Shenny Chew, wowed the judges from VISA, BBDO, and NUS with a wearable VISA payment solution.
Integrating the payment technology with a pair of earphones, the winning idea allows the user to pay for items and/or services without having their music uninterrupted.
The team ended up clinching the respectable position of runners-up, behind the hosts NUS.
Pitch It! is an annual tertiary-wide marketing competition organised by the NUS Communication and New Media Society, and this year's edition was contested by 23 institutes of higher learning. NYP was the only polytechnic team to finish in one of the podium places.
