Notes:

  1. The fees stated above are for your reference only. Tuition Fees for Singaporean Citizens (SC) and Singapore Permanent Residents (SPR) are before GST. The Government continues to absorb the GST chargeable on tuition fees and examination fees payable by SC and SPR students. Tuition Fees for International Students (IS) are inclusive of GST.
  2. All fees are subject to change as determined by Ministry of Education (MOE) at their yearly review.
  3. Fees are billed on a semestral basis. For fee details and actual amount payable, students can view their online e-Bill at myNYP Portal upon receiving the email and/or SMS notification that e-Bill is available.
  4. Subsidised students are those who are eligible and accepting the MOE Tuition Grant. For details on the scheme, please refer to MOE TG website https://tgonline.moe.gov.sg

National Servicemen

Tuition fee for Reserved National Servicemen will be based on the year of offer.

MOE Tuition Grant Scheme

The Singapore Government, through the Ministry of Education (MOE) provides Tuition Grant (TG) to assist students in payment of the full course fees. All students who are eligible and accepting the MOE TG need to apply for the MOE Tuition Grant Scheme.
 

Students who are not eligible or did not accept TG or did not complete the TG Agreement signing by the scheduled dates, will have to pay the full course fees and the GST thereon for their studies in Nanyang Polytechnic.
 

Students who are:

  • Singaporeans - apply by submitting the Declaration for Tuition Grant Eligibility Form (pink form) during the enrolment.
  • Singapore Permanent Residents and International Students – require to fulfil the tuition grant process as follows:
    • Submit the Tuition Grant Option Form (blue form) during enrolment
    • Attend the MOE Tuition Grant Briefing which is compulsory
    • Apply online via https://tgonline.moe.gov.sg/  by the stipulated deadline
    • Sign the MOE Tuition Grant Agreement in the presence of MOE Officer together with your 2 sureties
    • If your sureties are in their home country and are NOT able to meet the scheduled MOE signing date, you need to:
      1. Download a copy of the TG Agreement through the TG online for your sureties overseas
      2. Ensure that your sureties overseas sign the TG Agreement in the presence of Notary Public(s) which includes Notary Public, Commissioner for Oaths or practising lawyer
      3. Ensure that the Notary Public(s) sign and affix a seal/stamp against each of his/her signatures ONLY on the downloaded TG Agreement. MOE will NOT accept the TG Agreement if there are any other documents issued by the Notary Public(s)
      4. After the original notarised TG Agreement is returned to you by your sureties overseas, you must:
        • Bring the TG Agreement during the scheduled MOE signing date
        • Sign in the presence of MOE officer
        • You will be bonded to work in Singapore registered companies for a minimum of 3 years upon graduation.

Fees Payment

Interbank GIRO

  • Application for any Financing Scheme(s) namely, Mendaki Tertiary Fee Subsidy, CPF Education Scheme and Tuition Fee Loan Scheme cover only Tuition Fees and DOES NOT cover the Supplementary Fees. The Supplementary Fees have to be paid via GIRO.
  • For PSEA (covers Tuition Fee and Supplementary Fees) applicants, fees will be paid via GIRO if there is insufficient fund in the PSEA.


How to apply for GIRO?

  1. Complete the form. Please note that TRUST accounts are not eligible for GIRO deduction.
    Note:
    • Amendments, if any, are to be counter-signed by the account holder.
    • No correction fluid/tape is allowed.

  2. For bank account operated by signature:
    Account holder/Joint Account holder(s) is/are to sign as per the bank’s records.

    For bank account operated by thumbprint:
    Account holder is to visit the Bank and get the thumbprint verified.

  3. Submit the completed, verified thumbprint or signed form to Nanyang Polytechnic.


Alternatively, for DBS/POSB account holder with internet banking facility, you may apply for GIRO via https://internet-banking.dbs.com.sg.

 

How to check the GIRO application status?

You may check the GIRO application status online via myNYP Portal.

Note: The same Interbank GIRO account will be used for fees deduction and any other disbursements.


When and how the GIRO deduction date and amount will be informed?

You will be informed of the GIRO deduction date and total amount payable via online e-Bill.  When the online e-Bill is available for viewing via myNYP portal, you will be notified by email sent to your NYP Student email address and/or SMS.

The notification will be sent to you at least 10 days before the deduction date.


Other Payment Methods: If your GIRO application is not approved yet:

  1. United Overseas Bank Limited (Internet Banking)
    • Applicable for UOB account holder with internet banking facility.
    • Login to UOB Internet Banking
    • Quote your Admission Number and Bill Number or NRIC Number as payment reference.

  2. eNETS Debit
    • Applicable for DBS Bank/POSB, UOB, OCBC, or Citibank account holder with internet banking facility.
    • Login via myNYP portal.

  3. AXS Stations/Internet/Mobile App

     a) AXS Stations - At AXS Station, select Education Note

     b) AXS Internet - Login to AXS Internet, select eServices Note

     c) AXS Mobile App - Download AXS Payment App, select eServices Note

Note: For full-time diploma or Poly Foundation Programme students, continue to select : NYP -> Full-Time Diploma/Polytechnic Foundation Programme

 

4. NETS or CashCard at i@Central.

5. Cash payment will not be accepted.

Company Sponsored Students

  • Your sponsoring company is to officially inform NYP’s Admissions Office 14 days before commencement of the semester. The Polytechnic will then bill the sponsor directly.
  • Please do not apply for any of the Financing Scheme(s) i.e. Mendaki Tertiary Tuition Fee Subsidy, Post Secondary Education Account Scheme, CPF Education Scheme, Tuition Fee Loan Scheme, etc.
  • You should still apply the MOE Tuition Grant unless your sponsoring company has specifically instructed that it will pay the full course fees. You are to confirm with your sponsoring company before enrolment due date.

Change Of Citizenship Status

Semester fees are due and payable by students at the start of the semester.   The fees rates payable are based on the citizenship status prevailing at that point in time, if applicable.

Fees Payment By Due Date

If the fees are not paid by the date stated in the FINAL e-REMINDER, students may be subject to ineligibility for examination/module credits for all modules registered for that semester in accordance with Clause 7.1 of the Assessment (Credit Based) Regulations.  Refer to NYP website.

Refund Of Excess Payment

Please pay the fees correctly.  Once fees payable is settled, there will be no claim from the Financing Scheme(s) and no refund of fees already paid.

However, should there be any excess amount, it will be refunded at a later date.

Refunds will be credited to the same Interbank GIRO account for fees deduction.
