Student Care Services

Student Care Network

All students have a lecturer assigned to them as Personal Mentor. The lecturer will take on the role of mentor and friend, providing assistance, guidance and counselling to students when needed.

First-year students also benefit from the support and advice of seniors on various aspects of their lives at Nanyang Polytechnic. These student mentors volunteer their time to help juniors settle into campus life. New students, in general, may find it easier to relate to these student mentors.

Student Counselling Service

Feeling down? Not coping with studies? Can’t get along with friends or family? Just broke up with a loved one? Need to talk to someone?

Speaking to your lecturers or personal mentors may be the first step. Otherwise, you may also come and chat with the Student Counsellors. Our Counsellors provide free counselling to students when they encounter difficulties relating to studies, family, and other personal issues.

Students can also reach the Student Counsellors through e-mail at nyp_counsel@nyp.gov.sg.
