Health Sciences Courses for GCE 'A' level holders

To apply for the 3-year Diploma in Health Sciences courses, applicants must have the following grades in subjects taken at not more than two sittings of the GCE 'A' Level Examination :

Additional Requirement : 

Due to the special requirements of the HealthCare professions, all applicants have to pass a medical examination and be free from physical handicap to be admitted into the programme.

Whilst not comprehensive, the following conditions will lead to non-acceptance into the course:

• Legal blindness
• Active tuberculosis
• Profound deafness
• Psychiatric condition
• Uncontrolled asthma
• Uncontrolled epilepsy
• Uncontrolled diabetes
• Uncontrolled hypertension
• Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS)
• Mobility restricted (hindering performance)
• Physical dependence upon mobility equipment 

GCE 'A' level holders may also apply for other 3-years Health Sciences Courses as shown below.

Health Sciences Courses for GCE 'O' level holders 

To be eligible for consideration for admission, applicants must have the following GCE ‘O’ Level examinations results (at not more than two sittings) and fulfil the aggregate computation requirements.

Additional Requirements:

Due to the special requirements of the Healthcare professions, all applicants have to pass a medical examination and be free from physical handicap to be admitted into the programme.

Whilst not comprehensive, the following conditions will lead to non-acceptance into the course:

• HBsAg positive/ Hepatitis B Carrier
• Legal blindness
• Active tuberculosis
• Profound deafness
• Psychiatric condition
• Uncontrolled asthma
• Uncontrolled epilepsy
• Uncontrolled diabetes
• Uncontrolled hypertension
• Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS)
• Mobility restricted (hindering performance)
• Physical dependence upon mobility equipment

* Dental Hygiene & Therapy applicants will be required to take a manual dexterity test by the relevant Selection Committee to determine their suitability for admission to the course.

 Social Sciences (Social Work)

To be eligible for consideration, candidates must have the following GCE ‘O’ Level examinations results (at not more than two sittings) and fulfil the aggregate computation requirements.

 
Must also have sat for one of the following subjects listed in Group 1 and another subject listed in Group 2 below:

Group 1 :

Art/Art & Design / Business Studies / Combined Humanities / Commerce / Commercial Studies / Economics / Geography / Higher Art / Higher Music / History / Intro to Enterprise Development / Literature in English, Chinese, Malay, Tamil / Media Studies (English) / Media Studies (Chinese) / Music / Principles of Accounts

Group 2 :

Additional Mathematics / Art/Art & Design / Business Studies / Chinese/Higher Chinese / Combined Humanities / Commerce / Commercial Studies / Creative 3-D Animation / Design & Technology / Economics / Elementary Mathematics / Food & Nutrition / Geography / Higher Art / Higher Malay / Higher Music / Higher Tamil / History / Intro to Enterprise Development / Literature in English, Chinese, Malay, Tamil / Malay / Media Studies (English) / Media Studies (Chinese) / Music / Principles of Accounts / Tamil
