Scholarships

 

  1. Who are eligible to apply?

    - All new full time diploma students with outstanding academic results and good co- curricular records

    - Students must not have secured any other scholarships

  2. How do you define ‘outstanding academic results’?

    The scholarship will be awarded based on merit. We will evaluate based on the results you are using to enter NYP.

  3. Do I need to attend an interview?

    Yes, shortlisted candidates will be notified for interview. Interview will be held at Nanyang Polytechnic. It is important that applicants provide a contact number and email address to enable NYP to contact them for an interview if shortlisted.

  4. What does the scholarship cover?

    It pays for your Tuition Fee (after tuition grant) for one academic year.

  5. Can I renew the scholarship at the end of one year, and is renewal guaranteed?

    This scholarship is tenable (renewable) for up to three years of study in NYP provided the following are fulfilled:

    • Consistent outstanding academic performance

    • Continued active participation in CCAs

    • Good leadership potential

    • Good conduct

    Renewal is not guaranteed. It is subject to fulfillment of the above conditions, and the number of scholarship awards available in that year.

  6. Will there be any bond?

    The NYP Scholarship carries no bond for Singaporeans. For International Students, a 3-year bond is applicable under Singapore’s Ministry of Education (MOE) Tuition Grant Scheme.

  7. When and how to apply for the NYP Scholarship?

    For new students Please check website for online application dates.

    For Existing NYP Students No application is required. Eligible NYP students will be nominated by their Schools by April each year.

  8. When will new students know the results of their scholarship application?

    Results will only be released after completion of their enrolment at NYP.
