Joint Admissions Exercise (JAE)

• Singaporeans or Permanent Residents with valid Singapore-GCE 'O' Level examination results obtained in any year and never been enrolled in any of the local polytechnics.

• International Students enrolled in a government, government-aided or Independent schools in Singapore with valid Singapore-GCE 'O' Level examination results obtained in 2011.

Joint Polytechnic Special Admissions Exercise (JPSAE)

 For students with special talents, outstanding achievements and strong passion/aptitudes in certain fields of study.

• Singaporeans or Permanent Residents with valid Singapore-GCE 'O' Level examination results obtained in 2011.

• International Students enrolled in a government, government-aided or Independent schools in Singapore with valid Singapore- GCE 'O' Level examination results obtained in 2011. 

 Direct Admissions Exercise (DAE)

For the following GCE ‘O’ level holders:

• candidates who are not eligible to apply through the JAE

• non-Singaporean private candidates or from private school

• non-Singaporeans previously from government, government-aided and independent schools

Direct Polytechnic Admissions Exercise (DPA)

• Singaporeans and Permanent Residents who have registered to sit for the GCE 'O' Level examinations in the year of the DPA exercise.

• International Students enrolled in government, government-aided and Independent Schools in Singapore during the year of the DPA exercise, and who have registered to sit for the GCE 'O' Level examinations in the year of the DPA exercise.
