Taxis Taxis are in abundance in Singapore. You can book a taxi through their hotlines, queue for a taxi at a taxi stand or flag-down one along the road. All taxis fares are metered and are charged based on a flag-down rate and the distance travelled. There are various surcharges such as Airport surcharge, peak-hour surcharge, etc. that may be applied to the journey. Do ask the driver on the surcharges applicable to your journey and request for a receipt as well.
