Working out your budget

International students, including permanent residents, who are admitted into Nanyang Polytechnic, may apply for the Tuition Grant (TG) that is offered by the Singapore Ministry of Education.

 

International students who are not awarded the TG will have to pay full fees. For more information on the tuition grant, click here.

 

In addition, there are also some miscellaneous fees like examination fees and students' union fees. Click here for details.

 

 

 

Cost of living

 

Apart from the tuition fees, you should also consider the following items when you plan your budget:

*Rental varies depending on geographical area, demand, facilities provided and the number of people sharing.

As a guide, a meal in Singapore cost between $2.50 to $5.00. On average, a typical student would need between $700 to $1400 per month depending on lifestyle. Please note that the average estimates serve as a reference only.
