Course Introduction

Singapore’s fund management industry has seen double-digit annual growth over the past five years.

In the past few years, Singapore has observed encouraging developments in the hedge fund industry. Currently, there are more than 100 hedge fund players based in Singapore, compared to less than 20 hedge fund managers prior to 2001. In order for Singapore to develop effectively as a global financial hub, supporting services are constantly being relocated into Singapore. As such, fund administration and other related services are expected to be in great demand.

Nanyang Polytechnic is pleased to offer the Certificate in Fund Administration (14^th intake, 16 to 20 Apr 2012) in response to the market demand for professionals in this field.

Course Aims

This 5-day entry level conversion program is suitable for those without relevant experience but who are interested to join the fund industry.

The program is broad-based in nature and exposes the participants to the entire value chain in the fund industry, from front end to back office operations.

• Classes are held from 8:30am – 6pm (Day 1) and 9am – 6pm (Day 2 to Day 5)

Entry Requirements

• GCE “A” Level

OR

• Local Polytechnic Diploma

Those who do not meet the minimum requirement may be admitted on a case-by-case basis and may be required to attend an interview.

Course Fees

Total course fees of S$1,500 (incl GST) payable upon application.

Organisations sponsoring Singapore-based participants may be eligible for Financial Sector Development Fund (FSDF) support on a case-by-case basis. Interested organisations should submit their applications to the FSDF Secretariat directly prior to programme commencement. Individual participants may apply for IMAS-NYP scholarship.  Scholarship application form (available in the registration website) should be submitted together with your supporting documents for processing.

Certification

Nanyang Polytechnic will award participants who have met the minimum attendance requirement and passed the examination a Certificate in Fund Administration.
