The Diploma in Sport & Wellness Management was designed specifically to reflect the increasing requirements for a greater business and professional orientation in the sport, wellness and the leisure industry. If you aspire to be actively engaged in the business of sports, promoting healthy lifestyles, managing elite athletes or organising corporate wellness programmes, this course will endow you with the capabilities to succeed in this global industry.

Students will be provided with specialised knowledge and skills in the sport and wellness arena while a broad-based knowledge of business management anchors the program. Focusing on practical training and total student development, students will manage and work on real-life projects as well as gain hands-on skills through exposure to external real-life sports projects to better prepare them for the world of work. With global expansion, spirited competition in the commercial world, and the emergent interdependence and assertiveness of practitioners from the non-profit domain, the Diploma in Sport & Wellness Management offers students a vibrant training platform to be able to contribute to this emerging market.

Unique to NYP is the Teaching Enterprise Project (TEP) module whereby students gain practical hands-on learning and exposure in various management and operational business aspects within a controlled environment. Through group work, projects and execution of real-life events, students are given the opportunity to apply their technical knowledge while developing capabilities in sport management skills, including an attachment in the BodyWatch Sport & Wellness Centre, a fitness centre in NYP operated and managed by students and staff from the School of Business Management. A 10-week industry attachment complements the 6-month TEP stint.
