Specialist Dip in Fund Management & Administration
6th Intake
Course Introduction

Nanyang Polytechnic is pleased to offer the 6th intake of the Specialist Diploma in Fund Management and Administration commencing 28 Feb 2012, in response to the constant market demand for professionals in this field.
As a major centre for asset management in the Asian region, asset managers continue to use Singapore as a base to access regional opportunities for both investing and asset-gathering. Assets under management (AUM) by fund managers in Singapore climbed 12% year on year to S$1.4 trillion in 2010.
In terms of jobs, the fund management industry employed close to 11,200 staff in 2010, of whom approximately 2,700 were investment professionals, representing an increase of 5.2% year-on-year. Singapore’s financial sector continues to seek suitably qualified professionals in fund industry, especially relating to middle office and back office operations. Job opportunities include areas such as business development, product development, deal processing and settlements, performance measurement, fund administration, client servicing, research and investment analysis.
The course is currently FICS (Financial Industry Competency Standard) accredited.
Course Aims
This 10-month part-time programme is suitable for executives who wish to be technically equipped for managerial or supervisory positions in the fund management & administration industry. The program adopts a hands-on approach to learning, with classroom exercises, case studies and project work.

Entry Requirements

Local Polytechnic Diploma OR University Degree

Minimum 3 years of working experience
Priority will be given to those with relevant work experience in financial services industry.
Candidates who do not meet the above admission requirements but who have substantial relevant working experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis and may be required to attend an interview.

Certification
Nanyang Polytechnic will award participants who have met the minimum attendance requirement (75%) and passed the examination a Specialist Diploma in Fund Management & Administration.
