Course Introduction

 

Commencing 28 Feb 2012.

 

Supply chain management is a critical function in any business today. An effective supply chain management has profound effect on the success and profitability of a company. The accelerated growth of international trade, globalisation and the ever more competitive environment has put supply chain management in the forefront. Many businesses are looking to supply chain for cost advantage as well as being a service differentiator and competitive edge.

 

The 300-hour programme is intended to provide a good understanding of supply chain management and its roles in international business and logistics. It enables participants to apply their knowledge and analytical skills learnt in their workplace through project work and assignments. The programme will adopt a practical approach to enhance participants’ understanding of various key components of business logistics and supply chain management.

Course Aims

Programme Objectives

  • To provide participants a good understanding of the total supply chain value with focus on the application of various supply chain management processes and integration of various elements of SCM.

  • To provide participants an overview on the latest technology deployment in SCM including exposure to ERP tools to achieve high SCM service delivery and monitoring

  • To assist participants in enhancing their business management capability and to add value to their career development.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must possess the followings:

  • Polytechnic Diploma or degree in any discipline from a recognised institution.*

  • 3-4 years working experience

 

* Foreign qualifications will be assessed on a case by case basis

 

Applicants, who do not meet the above academic requirement, but with significant supervisory / managerial experience in a relevant industry, may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

6. Integrated Supply Chain Management Project

 

Certification

Nanyang Polytechnic will award participants who have met the minimum attendance requirement (75%) and have passed all the examinations a Specialist Diploma in Supply Chain Management.

Course Fees & Subsidies

Nett course fee payable (incl GST) per participant is as follows:

  • For individual applicant, net fee payable after MOE subsidy –

    • Singapore Citizen -  S$738.30, for first subsidized specialist diploma programme

    • Singapore Citizen - S$1,487.30, for subsequent specialist diploma programme provided 5 years or more have lapsed since the previous programme

    • Singapore Permanent Resident - S$1,979.50, for first subsidized specialist diploma programme

  • For non-subsidized or foreign applicant - S$4,964.80
