The School of Design offers you a conducive environment that stimulates and nurtures creativity.
Our four Diplomas, delivered by a team of inspiring, dedicated and talented teaching staff, are built around a curriculum that focuses on building a strong design foundation, infusing industry realism, inspiring design excellence and inculcating design for social impact.
Our studio-based approach to learning and project-based curriculum are designed to emulate a real-world environment where you work on real life projects, pitch your ideas to industry practitioners and see your projects through to fruition.
This unique cross-disciplinary studio-based approach also creates the environment for inter-disciplinary peer learning, sharing and experimentation amongst students from all four Diplomas and across all three years of study.
The School’s international programme is developed to open our students’ senses to the world. Every year, inspirational learning journeys are organised to take you to the design cities of the world. You get to travel to cities such as Barcelona, Tokyo, Seoul and London. From the grandest of architecture to the smallest details in products and visual communication, each trip introduces you to a whole new world of culture, design and art.
With our innovative pedagogy, you are ready to take on the world of design. Our graduates are going places. Many of them quickly embarked on careers with renowned companies such as Philips, Electrolux, SapientNitro, Shimano, Banyan Tree, IKEA and WOHA. Others have pursued further studies at NUS and NTU as well as in top universities in UK such as Royal College of Art, Architectural Association School of Architecture, Central Saint Martins, London College of Communication and Glasgow School of Art. Others have gone to established Australian universities such as RMIT University, Swinburne University of Technology, University of New South Wales, and University of Canberra.
Our purpose remains the same - to nurture and inspire students who will make the world a better place for everyone through Design.
