Welcome to the School of Engineering (SEG) – where Engineering Education is designed, developed and delivered by Engineers.

 

Here, learners from secondary schools and ITE can start building careers in engineering, while industry professionals can continue to enhance competencies in engineering.

SEG draws its strengths from the heritage it was built on: the French-Singapore Institute (FSI), German-Singapore Institute (GSI) and Japan-Singapore Institute (JSI), which were established by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) to provide engineering training and education for Singapore’s evolving industrial landscape.

 

Our extensive industry linkages, together with our industry-relevant capabilities and curriculum, have produced graduates who are well received by the industry and universities, both locally and abroad. SEG’s state-of-the-art teaching facilities and laboratories, in addition to our strong emphasis on real-world learning experiences, will provide you with a good head start in your pursuit of an engineering career.  

 

We are proud of our students who continue to return home with numerous titles from the WorldSkills Competitions (often referred to as the 'Youth Olympics of Skills'). Donning national colours since 1999, SEG students have represented Singapore at host cities around the world, including Leipzig, Germany; Abu Dhabi, UAE; São Paulo, Brazil and Kazan, Russia. Their achievements are testament to our international standards skills training.

 

SEG’s robust relations with the industry translate into internship placements and projects with over 250 local and global companies, as well as overseas programmes in more than 20 countries including North America (US, Canada), Europe (UK, Germany, France, Switzerland) and Asia (China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam). These serve to expand your training and perspectives beyond the campus.
