Our Student Showcases 2015 are a compilation of the original animated work of our students. For your inspiration and procrastination.
These motion graphics were the laborious undertaking of 17 students from the Motion Graphics & Broadcast Design (MGBD) course in Nanyang Polytechnic.
The students, who worked on NDP as part of their final-year project, were split into two teams, which spent three months each brainstorming and designing visuals like a bamboo forest, fire whips, and wayang kulit (shadow puppets).
Their work will be displayed for about 14 minutes - during Act 1: Badang and the Singapore Stone, and Act 2: Our Four Civilisations.
Students from the Diploma in Motion Graphics & Broadcast Design assisted the SG50 NDP show committee in creating a rich palette of animated visuals that complements the live performances. This big scale motion graphics projection mapping run on 330x260m wall to wall & 80x60m on the ground covered with motion graphics contents and interaction coordination with the live performances.
A permanent projection exhibition to showcase an education content video of the milo production process. This is cross collaborative effort between our two diplomas, Students from the diploma in Motion Graphics and broadcast Design and Visual Effects.
In this project students are collaborating with a local biscuits manufacture Khong Guan, to produce a 30sec TVC spot. The objective of this TVC is to bring the brand awareness of Khong Guan biscuits to the light of the general public and engage interest to a new younger demographic group in Singapore. It should highlight the strong connection with the country, and as such, how the company has grown with the country.
