- Will I have the opportunity to go for clinical attachments like other polytechnics offering similar courses?
At Nanyang Polytechnic, students will be attached to "Health@NYP - The Teaching Drug Store", our very own drug store within the campus during their second and third year of study. In addition, they will also have the opportunity to go for industrial attachments in their final year of study. Unlike other polytechnics, we believe that our students should be given a wide exposure to various areas of the pharmaceutical industry. Hence, attachments are not only confined to hospitals but also include other sectors, such as the polyclinics, retail pharmacies, pharmaceutical firms and clinical trial units. This will provide students with the opportunity to experience the different job scopes in the industry and by so doing, allow them to select the appropriate vocation upon graduation.
- Can I work as a pharmacist after graduation with a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences?
This course will lay a strong foundation for students who are interested in continuing their studies in pharmacy. To be qualified pharmacists, graduates with a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences can go through a degree course in Pharmacy either in local or overseas universities.
