Platinum Medal at Singapore Chemical Science Fair 2009

 

A team of 3 students from the Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, School of Engineering, won the Platinum Medal (1st Prize) in the Senior Category at the Singapore Chemical Science Fair 2009 (SCSF-3) held at National University of Singapore on 21 Mar 2009. The team comprising of Siew Vin See, Nur Suhaila Binte Said and Chong Meng Kiang were supervised by Mr Chang Hengky for their project on the ‘Development and characterisation of nanostructured collagen for improved cellular absorption’.

 

The SCSF-3 is an annual competition organised by the Department of Chemistry, National University of Singapore, to promote and support chemical science research in schools and polytechnics in Singapore. Nanyang Polytechnic is the only polytechnic to have won the Platinum Medal in the Senior Category for two consecutive years.
