Part-Time Diploma in Engineering (Aerospace Manufacturing) 

Using a revised MOE CET Qualification Framework to provide working adults with more accessibility to continuous learning, the new Diploma in Engineering (Aerospace Manufacturing) features:

  • a shorter course duration

  • a modular qualification structure

  • learning programmes that suit adult learners

The course consists of five modular certificates that can be taken independently of each other. Upon completion of the five Certificates within a five-year validity period, the participant will be conferred a Diploma in Engineering (Aerospace Manufacturing) qualification from Nanyang Polytechnic.

 
 

NYP Certificate (Manufacturing Technology)

You will gain knowledge and skills in manufacturing processes, materials technology, and electrical and electronics principles so that you can support and contribute to the manufacturing environment. The following modules are offered under this certificate programme

NYP Certificate (Computer-Aided Design)

Using industry-standard software complemented with applied mechanics for engineering solutions, you will learn how to handle mechanical and fixture design, drafting and CAM programming The following modules are offered under this certificate programme

NYP Certificate (Metrology & Materials)

You will learn to perform metrological measurements, implement quality systems and manage the QC process, while gaining knowledge of aerospace materials like superalloys and composites, and specialised inspection techniques.

NYP Certificate (Aerospace Technology)

Gaining knowledge in aircraft flight dynamics and aircraft propulsion systems, you will understand aircraft function, engine construction and propulsion systems. You will also learn about manufacturing systems used in this industry.

NYP Certificate (Aerospace Machining)

You will learn high-speed machining, advanced CNC machining, cutting strategies and machining of advanced aerospace materials. You will also learn shopfloor management skills such as monitoring and control operations.
