Technology Park

At Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP), you will notice that  the southern part of the Campus houses all the technology-based programmes of the Polytechnic. This deliberate arrangement is part of  NYP's "Borderless Schools Concept" that allows students and staff from various disciplines to interact through joint projects, cross-teaching and learning, with optimization of the utilization of resources.

Fondly known to NYP as "NYP Technology
Park", the Park consists of two corridors along parallel campus blocks that serve to facilitate the consolidation and pooling of resources between schools and disciplines to meet specific industry and technology needs.

The structure of the Borderless Technology Park Concept

Within the NYP Technology Park are the IT and Engineering Corridors where specialist centres, laboratories and developmental areas for technology and innovations reside. Along the Engineering Corridor, engineering expertise in electronics, manufacturing, mechatronics, product design and development and precision engineering converge. Along the IT Corridor, digital media, engineering informatics, multimedia and infocommunication technology are synergized.

Such an innovative teaching and learning environment cum approach has resulted in the enhancement of team spirit and cross-school collaborative project work, essentially building up our staff and student capabilities and providing opportunities for technology innovation and integration.
