The medical component is a part of a drug delivery device. It is a thin U-shaped steel with sharp end, used to puncture holes on a drug capsule. The sharpening process typically creates burrs, which are unacceptable in medical device. This brushing system was designed to remove the burrs completely without damaging the sharpened edges.
