SGCC 2009
Singapore Games Creation Competition (SGCC) gives secondary school students an opportunity to learn about digital media development and games creation. It challenges them to create their very own games.
The objective of SGCC is to:
- Provide an environment for school students to learn games creation through workshops on games development and digital creation tools.
- Give the participants an overview of the digital media industry.
- Give aspiring game developers an opportunity to share and showcase their games.
SGCC consiists of 2 stages:
Stage 1 (Web Games) - Registration closed on 30th May 2009
- The top 20 teams with the best Web Games entries will be shortlisted to move on to Stage 2.

About Singapore 2010 CAN!
Singapore is hosting the first Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in August 2010. Singapore 2010 CAN! aims to bring young people together to celebrate the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games.

Singapore Games Creation Competition is part of the National Infocomm Competition (NIC) under the Secondary School circuit. It is open to all secondary school students.

About the National Infocomm Competition
Supported by MOE, the NIC is organised by IDA and the following organisations including National Technological University, National University of Singapore, Singapore Institute of Management, Singapore Management University, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Nanyang Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic, ITE, Information Technology Standards Committee, Singapore Computer Society and Science Centre Singapore. The industry partners include Adobe, Microsoft and Sun Microsystems. |
