Opening ceremony of SGCC 2008

The official opening of SGCC 2008 was held at NYP Auditorium. Thank you to all 448 students who have signed up for the challenge!

We would like to thank Mr Daniel Tan, Director for School of Interactive & Digital Media - Nanyang Polytechnic for his presence to grace the event. Mr Tan's gave an insightful speech on this year's theme.

Important Dates

All participating teams should take note of the following dates:

  1. Registration Closed — 3rd June 2008
  2. Briefing at Nanyang Polytechnic for successful applicants and collection of starter packs — 9th June 2008
  3. Particpants can choose to join either workshop held on 10th & 11th June or 12th & 13th June.
  4. Stage 1 (Web Games) Workshops at Nanyang Polytechnic. It will be an all day event from 9am to 5pm.
    • 9th June 2008: Briefing and Lecture (Compulsory for all participants)
    • 10th - 11th June 2008 - Workshop 1
    • 12th - 13th June 2008 - Workshop 2
  5. All games entries are to be submitted by 8th August 2008.
  6. Judging and voting —TBA.
  7. Stage 2 (3D Games) Workshops at Nanyang Polytechnic — 1st - 5th September 2008.
  8. Prize Presentation will be held at Fusionopolis on the 23rd October 2008.
