The Theme

The Theme for SGCC 209 Stage 2 is Environment: Clean Living - Clean Air, Clean Water, Clean Energy.

The theme for SGCC 2009 Stage 1 was 26 Sports of Youth Olympic Games.

Registering Teams (Only for Stage 1) - REGISTRATION CLOSED

For Stage 1, schools may send in an unlimited number of teams, with each team comprising up to four students. Each team is permitted to hand in multiple submissions.

Competition Process

1. There are two stages in the category - Web Games and 3D Games. Every team is required to take part in Stage 1 (Web Games)
2. Each team is required to submit at least one game.
3. Teams will have to give a live demonstration and presentation of their games to a panel of industry professionals.
4. Judging will be based on the following criterias
   • Originality
     • e.g. how original and innovative the game ideas are
   • Aesthetics and designs
     • e.g. do the design and colours match well with the contents
   • Graphical user interface
     • e.g. how friendly the game is to the players
   • Gameplay
     • e.g. how addictive and fun the game is
   • presentation (selected teams)
5. The top 20 teams from Web Games will be invited to take part in the 3D Games stage.
6. Prizes for Web Games will be presented in 1st week of July 2009; prizes for 3D Games presented on 19th September 2009.

Prizes

Certificates will be awarded for participation and merit.

Trophies and attractive prizes will be awarded to winners of each stage.
