Stage 1 Submission Requirements

All entries must be submitted on or before the closing date stipulated in the important dates.

Submission MUST be done electronically as a single RAR or ZIP file through email.
Please send your submissions to 2010sgcc[at]gmail[dot]com.
Submissions will not be accepted unless accompanied with the following details:

  • School Name
  • Team Name
  • All Team Members' Names (as appears on your NRIC/FIN), email addresses and contact numbers.
  • Game Title
The total file size MUST not exceed 10 MB. Multiple submissions are allowed but only the most recent copy will be kept by the system.

The submission MUST include the following:

  • Game Document
  • A3-sized poster (3508x4961 pixels or 29.7x42 cm) in .jpg or .gif format
  • Flash game (both .swf and .fla files)

Any entries that do not satisfy all of the following requirements will be disqualified:

  1. The submiited game MUST be playable on Microsoft Internet Explorer.
  2. Source code submission is required (as .fla files).
  3. Submissions MUST be made as a single file in RAR or ZIP formats.
  4. File size of the RAR or ZIP file must not exceed 10 MB.
  5. The entry must include some form of documentation (as a Game Document). It MUST include the title, a description of the game and how the game is played. You may use any common document format (TXT, PDF, HTML, DOC, CHM), but PDF is recommended.
  6. The poster MUST include the School Name, Team Name, and Member Names. A sample is found here.
  7. The opening screen MUST include the game title, team information and the SGCC 2010 logo. A sample can be found here.
  8. By entering the contest, entrants agree to provide proof of identification for any prizes awarded as required by law.
  9. The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entry that is deemed to be contrary to the spirit of the contest.
  10. Any entry that infringes the intellectual property of any third party will immediately be disqualified. This includes but is not limited to the use of 'ripped' sprites or graphics from other games, the use of sound effects and music from other games, and the use of registered trademarks. Use is permitted if the entrant has permission from the owner of the IP, but you should be prepared to prove that you have permission.
