Industrial Attachment Programme

photo

The students in their final academic year work on a real-life 6 months Industry Project, which enable them to relate practically what they have learned during their course in a real work environment. The objective of the Industrial Placement Programme is manifold.

Firstly, it puts into practice the knowledge and skills acquired by the student with regards to understanding and applying the concepts and methodologies learnt in our school for applications in a real-life working environment. This helps to boost the students’ competency, especially in their area of specialization.

Secondly, it develops the students’ interpersonal and collaborative skills through working in teams and with professionals from the industry. This prepares the student for ready absorption into the workforce and Media Design industries.

Last but not least, the Industrial Attachment Programme helps forge and support a closer relationship between the industry and the Nanyang Polytechnic.

Our Industrial Attachment Programme (IAP) is conducted over 4 periods during each academic year, with a duration of 12/13 weeks for each period.

The periods are arranged contiguously so that companies can benefit from a continual one-year period of students' attachment.
