Grid Innovations and Application Competition
The Grid Innovation & Application competition grand finals took place in NTU on the 10th Jan 2004. The competition was organised by National Grid Office (NGO) and Nanyang Campus Grid with the objectives of promoting Grid Technology in Singapore and to challenge student innovativeness, creativity and technical capability.
5 teams from NTU, a team each from NUS and TP as well as 3 NYP teams were selected for the finals. Despite strong competition, NYP clinched the 3rd prize while the top 2 prizes go to NTU.
The members of the NYP team that make it to the final three include Leong Wai Hon (DIT), Tan Wei Siang (DBI) and Ng Wee Tat (DBI) with their project titled "Bioinformatics Portal using OGSA".
