Capture The Flag 2010 Competition

Capture-The-Flag 2010 Competition winners

Team Dino from School of Information Technology is the champion of Capture-The-Flag (CTF) competition held in conjunction with the annual SysScan 2010 Conference in Singapore on 17-18 June. The team members are:

  • Kok Kiat Han, Diploma in Information Security

  • Lee De Sheng Royson, Diploma in Information Security

  • Low Yi Sheng, Diploma in Information Technology

  • Tan Thiam Shui, Diploma in Information Technology

The CTF is essentially a form of cyber war game competition. Each team was to defend against attacks on its preconfigured enterprise infrastructure consisting of network devices, servers, operating systems and applications, respond to real-time requests to perform certain system tasks assigned by the game masters within specific time frame, and at the same time launch attacks to the infrastructure of the other teams (such as bringing down critical systems and services, capture specified information or flags and etc). There were 12 teams participated in this competition. The "Games Master" of this competition was iSightPartners USA who flew in specifically to manage the competition. Our heartfelt congratulations to the members of winning team Dino!
