Wireless Java Jam 2004
The Wireless Java Jam competition concluded on the 8th Jan 2004 at the Victoria Theatre and once again our NYP-SIT team won the TOP prize, this time in the "Best of Code Jam" category.
This category is first introduced in this year's Jam where 60 students representing 12 institutions went through a gruelling 4 hours of coding to develop a J2ME application that fits the theme which was given on the spot. Among the competitors were students from ITE, NTU, NUS, the other 4 polytechnics and selected secondary schools and JCs.
Our students from Diploma of Information Technology managed to differentiate themselves and impressed the judges by incorporating a game as part of the tourism application that promotes Singapore city, which was the theme of the day.
