The emerging next generation of social media trend has propelled CITI to offer Social Media and Analytics expertise and skill, expanding the talent pool of Social Media and Analytics professionals to meet the demands of Singapore's industry.
Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) and Brandtology signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to launch the Centre for Social Media & Analytics on 3 March 2011, to build up capabilities and knowledge in understanding the applications of Social Media for today's business and industry, in areas such as digital strategy, sales, marketing, PR, media planning, customer service and product development. It will measure and evaluate the degree of success of Social Media, using data analysis tools and services to identify the origins of viral effects online, as well as determining top influencers and key engagement channels.
Located at NYP's School of Information Technology, the Centre will involve staff from both parties to engage in R&D activities of Social Media application on top of popular Social Media platforms for the industry. It will provide technical know-how as an integral part of the curriculum so that Nanyang Polytechnic students will gain the knowledge of developing Social Media applications as well as understand how to use them in this ever evolving industry.
