Centre for Software Quality and Security

On 14 August 2007, NYP signed a MOU with the Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) to establish the Centre for Software Quality and Security at NYP. This Centre will enhance the capabilities development of NYP in advanced software quality assurance, testing methodologies and software security. The centre will work with IT industry players such as Singapore Computer Systems (SCS), Borland, Fortify, IBM, McCabe, Parasoft, Systex and SPI Dynamics to deliver engaging and on-demand learning to students and IT Professionals. Through the centre, DSTA will also share their project experiences in software development processes, testing methodologies and applications of software security.

The centre will offer real world experience on advanced information technology, software testing and trainings to NYP's students as well as industry professionals over the next three years. The learners will work on projects from the industry, and develop the necessary skills to meet the demanding challenges of developing quality, reliable and secure enterprise solutions.
