Enterprise Information Architecture Centre

NYP has signed an MOU with Oracle on 21 Jan 2009 to launch the Enterprise Information Architecture Centre (EIAC). EIAC will be promoted as a Centre of Excellence for enterprise information solutions and serves as a public platform to showcase best practices in Oracle enterprise information architecture, sharing of user experiences and dissemination of new trends and innovations.

Many businesses are finding innovative ways to access vast and diversified data that can be presented in an intuitive manner as to improve their competitive edge. EIAC, with the participation of NYP staff and students, will work with the industry to design and architect innovative solutions with a scalable, high performance and secured framework to infuse content and services from multiple and heterogeneous data sources.

The collaboration is strategic and strives towards a long-term partnership in the development of trained IT information professionals – able to design, develop and manage enterprise information solutions, product and services leveraging on Oracle technologies, and expand the talent pool of Oracle professionals (e.g Oracle Certified Associate, OCA & Oracle Certified Professional, OCP) to meet the growing industry demands.

The partnership between NYP and Oracle started in August 2005 when both parties setup the NYP-Oracle Grid Innovation Centre (NOGIC) to promote the adoption of Enterprise Grid Technology.
