Minimum Entry Requirements
for GCE 'A' level holders

To apply for the 3-year Diploma in Health Sciences courses, candidates must have the following grades in subjects taken at not more than two sittings of the GCE 'A' Level Examination :-

English Language (EL1) at 'O' level 1 - 7

One of the following H2 subjects :

A - E

 

Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Physical Science

 

 

 

 

c)

H2 Mathematics or

A - E

 

Any other H2 subject PLUS

A - E

 

H1 Mathematics or
'O' Level Mathematics (Elementary/Additional)

1 - 6

Additional Requirement :

Due to the special requirements of the HealthCare professions, all applicants have to pass a medical examination and be free from physical handicap to be admitted into the programme.

Whilst not comprehensive, the following conditions will lead to non-acceptance into the course:

Legal blindness
Active tuberculosis
Profound deafness
Psychiatric condition
Uncontrolled asthma



Uncontrolled epilepsy
Uncontrolled diabetes
Uncontrolled hypertension
Acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS)
Mobility restricted (hindering performance)
Physical dependence upon mobility equipment
