Our Contribution for Airshow

The students were proud to be part of the Singapore Airshow 2018.

If visiting Singapore Airshow 2018 is on your list of things to do this weekend, then keep a look out for NYP's contribution! What is it? A virtual reality application for RBS70 - a man-portable air defense system designed for anti-aircraft warfare. Trade and public visitors can experience a simulation of the weapon that was developed by SIT students. The application features friend or foe target identification and visual cues for firing of the missile. The students' work will also be on display at the RSAF50@Heartland events that will be held at five HDB locations around Singapore.

Neo Wei Hong, a Diploma in Information Technology student, shares his experience working on this project: "I not only enhanced my technical skills but only received valuable real-life experience." For Lan Yung Lee from the Diploma in Cyber Security and Forensics, she says: "I'm so proud that the project I worked on was featured in the Airshow!"
