Led by the National Gallery Singapore, the annual visual arts festival will illuminate Singapore’s Civic District for the next three weeks with light projections, live gigs and interactive art from emerging artists.
Several buildings – namely the Arts House, Victoria Concert Hall, Victoria Theatre and the Asian Civilisations Museum – will be “covered” in artwork produced by 47 of our students from the School of Design & Media. The students had worked under the mentorship of artists Brandon Tay and Safuan Johari, exploring how to spark dialogue among the audience through the art, while highlighting the history and heritage of each building.
Meanwhile, Suzawani Awalluden's title installation lights up the steps of the National Gallery Singapore’s City Hall.
