• Admission Requirements

    • Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents
    • Recognized relevant NITEC/Higher NITEC (NITEC Applied Food Science, NITEC Chemical Process Technology, Higher NITEC Chemical Technology and Higher NITEC Biotechnology)
    • Candidates who are successfully matched and placed with participating employer under Work-Study Programme or candidates with recognized relevant NITEC/Higher NITEC (see above) applying through the public mode
    • Candidates without the minimum academic qualification may be admitted based on merit on a case-by-case basis (such as relevant working experience)

    Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on:

    • Evidence of at least 5 years of relevant working experience; OR
    • Supporting evidence of competency readiness

    Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.

  • Course Schedule

    Classes at NYP for the 2024 intake will be conducted on every Friday. These are full-day lessons (9.00am to 6.00pm with breaks in between) over 18 months for the Work-Study Certificate and over 30 months for the full diploma programme (part time).

    Classes for this 18-month programme will start on the week of 19 Apr, 2024

    Participants under the Work-Study Certificate will be sponsored by companies for their first three Modular Certificates.
