Students can learn how to manufacture medicine in this comprehensive facility. Equipped with some of the most advanced technology to be seen in an Institute of Higher Learning, the SPTC simulates the clean room environment that you can find in professional pharmaceutical plants around the world.

In addition, the SPTC is used to provide specialised training to pharmaceutical professionals, and it is the centrepiece in collaborative projects with global firms like GlaxoSmithKline, MSD and Syngenta Group.

In addition to enabling real life hands-on practical skills training for students, the SPTC provides opportunities for value added industrial projects in areas such as formulation development, process development & troubleshooting and customized training. The centre has collaborated with MNCs such as GSK, MSD and Syngenta and supported local companies such as SINGAPORE LINK SCIENCES on process development and training. In addition, customized equipment hands-on training had been conducted for non-technical personnel to enhance their knowledge of the manufacturing process.
