Abstract Creatures exhibition to inspire students

To inspire our students, SDM is hosting a special exhibition called “Abstract Creatures". This art installation is created by Ms Kelley Cheng from The Press Room, who won the Designer of the Year at the President’s Design Award Singapore 2020.
“Abstract Creatures” is a metaphor to describe our local design studios: how each of them is unique, and are being run in a different manner in order to survive. Each studio is seen to be an “abstract creature”; something strange, intriguing and with a life of its own.
Says SDM’s Alan Ong: “We want to inspire our students with this exhibition. The exhibits will tell them stories about how local design talents dare to venture out on their own. We hope it can motivate our students to consider being entrepreneurs and also to think of innovative ways to hone their design skills as they start work in the design industry in future.”
The exhibits were on display at Block M, Level 3 until 21 Jan 2022.
