An Introduction to Alternative Protein and Cultivated Meat Technologies and Food Products

There is, currently, a rapidly growing interest in alternative protein food and cultivated meat products. Over the past two years, more than 15 alternative protein start-ups have set up base in Singapore. Singapore also became the first country to approve the sale of a cell-cultured meat product in December 2020. This 1-day short course aims to provide a primer on alternative protein and cultivated meat technologies, products, and safety concerns.
