Course Aims
This course will equip social service practitioners with the skills and knowledge necessary to lead themselves effectively and navigate challenges within the dynamic context of their organisations. Through a hybrid blend of asynchronous self-paced videos and in-class discussions and learning activities, participants will learn and practise solutions to manage challenges “within” (self), “across” (colleagues) and “above” (superiors).
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- identify personal values and attitudes at work to motivate and manage self within an organisation;
- negotiate and handle different working styles of peers and superiors for optimal work outcomes; and
- apply concepts in team development to strengthen working relationships in an organisation.
