Course Aims

This course will equip social service practitioners with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate ethical dilemmas in their practice.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  • demonstrate an understanding of the importance of ethical decision-making in professional practice;
  • identify common ethical dilemmas faced by social service practitioners in social service settings;
  • apply ethical principles and values involved in professional practice situations using real-life case scenarios and interactive role plays for best outcomes;
  • evaluate potential solutions to ethical dilemmas by weighing the risks and benefits of each option and arrive at reasoned conclusions specific to professional practice; and
  • recognize the importance of ongoing self-reflection and professional development to maintain ethical standards that align with the Singapore Association of Social Workers’ values and legal requirements.

Who Should Attend

This course is for social work practitioners and other professionals working in social service settings who wish to enhance their ethical decision-making skills.

Certification

Participants will be awarded an e-certificate upon completion of the course.
